Editor's Note

💡 If you are tired of "junk food" xianxia and want a "gourmet" experience that feels like reading a classical Chinese epic merged with modern set theory and physics, this is your novel. Li Qi is a transmigrator who starts as a lowly fish laborer with nothing but a broken game console. This isn't a story about hitting things harder; it’s a philosophical exploration of what it means to "cultivate." The world-building is on par with Lord of the Mysteries, focusing on the "Invoker" path where the body is treated as a micro-universe. Be warned: the author writes like a scholar, and the technical depth is immense.

Experience Curve

Ch. 1–90 (The Laborer's Spark): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Grounding. A slow, atmospheric start. You feel the weight of Li Qi’s three years of obscurity. The introduction of the "Zhu" (Invoker) inheritance and the four-season organ cultivation is fascinating.

Ch. 91–500 (Ideological Warfare): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Peak. The world opens up to a massive scale. The conflict shifts from physical battles to "clashes of Dao" (ideologies). It feels like Forty Millenniums of Cultivation, where the protagonist’s worldview is tested against nations and ancient sects.

Ch. 501–1081 (The Long Journey): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Completion. The author maintains incredible consistency. While the "stupidly large numbers" common in xianxia eventually appear, the research-heavy writing style ensures that every power-up feels earned and logically sound within the world's physics.

WebNovelDB Review

9 /10
A "Professor's Xianxia." It is perhaps the most intellectually stimulating cultivation novel ever written, though its density may alienate casual readers. The Good: Unparalleled Research. The author uses real Daoist scripts, poetry, and even mathematical set theory to explain cultivation. The side characters aren't just "faces to be slapped"; they have fully fleshed-out motivations and their own "Paths" that they follow to the death. The MC is smart, ruthless when necessary, but never "evil" for the sake of it. The Bad: The "Pretentious" Wall. For every 10 paragraphs, 7 might be dedicated to explaining the theoretical physics of Qi or the philosophy of a specific ritual. If you want fast-paced action and hate "info-dumps," you will find this novel frustrating. The romance, while sweet (featuring a surprisingly mature rabbit demon), often feels secondary to the plot, with the female lead being "put on a shelf" for long stretches. For Fans Of: Lord of the Mysteries (World-building), My Longevity Simulation (Unique cultivation), Forty Millenniums of Cultivation (Clashing ideologies). Not For You If: You want a "System" that does everything for the MC, or if you prefer the "Qi Refining -> Foundation Establishment" standard progression. This is complex, shamanistic, and heavy on ritualism.
