Editor's Note

💡 What happens when the "Goddess of Beauty" summons you to be a hero, but then kicks you to the edge of the world because she thinks you're too ugly? Misumi Makoto finds himself abandoned in a wasteland where "Hyumans" (this world's beautiful humans) treat him like a monster. Fortunately, the Moon God Tsukuyomi grants him powers that turn him into a walking natural disaster. Accompanied by a "perverted" dragon (Tomoe) and a giant "hungry" spider (Mio), Makoto decides to ignore the Goddess's war and instead builds his own hidden paradise, Azora, while posing as a simple merchant.

Experience Curve

Ch. 1–50 (The Exile): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Hook. The subversion of the "Goddess's Blessing" is brilliant. Watching Makoto accidentally tame legendary monsters just by existing is peak Isekai comedy.

Ch. 51–300 (Azora & Merchant Life): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Build-up. The focus shifts to kingdom-building (Azora) and commerce. Makoto's "naiveté" is a major point of contention in reviews, as he tries to maintain a "normal student" mindset while possessing the power of a God.

Ch. 301–550+ (The Third Party): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Complexity. As Makoto is forced into the conflict between the Demon Army and the Hyumans, the story becomes a dense political drama. He isn't a hero; he’s a "neutral force" that both sides are terrified of.

WebNovelDB Review

8 /10
A masterclass in "Anti-Hero" progression that values character growth over simple power fantasies. The Good: World-Building & Side Characters. The world feels alive, with its own biology, linguistics, and racial tensions. The "servants" (Tomoe, Mio, Shiki) have more personality than most Isekai protagonists. The magic system is unique, focusing on "Aria" and the physical pressure of mana (Mana Materialization). The Bad: MC’s Passive Nature. As highlighted in many 1-star reviews, Makoto is a "Beta MC" for a long time. He is incredibly dense regarding social cues and often lets people walk over him despite being able to erase them from existence. If you hate "indecisive" protagonists, the first 150 chapters will be a struggle. For Fans Of: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Kingdom building), Overlord (OP MC with loyal monsters), Mushoku Tensei (Slow character growth). Not For You If: You want a "Harem" where the MC sleeps with everyone. Despite the female followers, Makoto treats them like family/subordinates and remains romantically uninterested for the vast majority of the story.
