If you’re looking for a "guilty pleasure" read where the protagonist is absolutely, unapologetically overpowered, The Max Level Hero has Returned! hits all the right spots. It doesn't try to be a deep philosophical masterpiece; instead, it leans heavily into the satisfaction of watching a formerly bullied prince return and dismantle his enemies with zero effort. What makes Davey fun to follow is his "I’ve seen it all" attitude. After a thousand years of training with legendary heroes, nothing surprises him, which leads to some great comedic moments and very satisfying face-slapping scenes. The pacing is brisk, and while it follows some familiar tropes, like the weak kingdom trope and the arrogant nobles, the way Davey handles them with his god-tier skills keeps it entertaining. It’s the perfect "refreshing" story to read when you’re tired of seeing protagonists struggle for 500 chapters just to win a minor fight.
