Still, Wait For Me is a popular novel that blends Adventure, Drama, Romance and more. Written by the author Xiang Tingsheng. A total of 692 chapters have been translated and the novel is complete.

Synopsis

Inexplicably reborn in the year 2003, having failed terribly in his previous life, the prevailing concern with Xu Tingsheng, that stands above all else, is none other than her. But alas, he is just months away from entering university, while she is but in her first year of junior high… Regarding this, all he can do is wait silently…for now.
In the meantime, other matters remain. There were quite a few things that went…rather badly, back then. Given the chance to change things, how would it not be the best decision to give that roulette wheel another spin with the odds stacked a better way, to attempt to change those dismal fates? And in some matters, does the alternative even truly exist? Hence flaps the butterfly’s wings…
In Xu Tingsheng’s new ‘second chance’ life, the power of foreknowledge coupled with intelligence pre-empts excellence, and that, coupled with personal charisma and character, begets women. Here he strives for success, while always keeping foremost in his mind that for which he exists, that which his achievements are ultimately meant to protect and cherish. And amidst all this, the season of youth does bloom for the young, deep, complicated romance and spontaneous, hot-blooded fighting never failing to inspire.
Philosophical and deep amidst the great, original tale of modernity it tells, this is a thought-provoking story of life, on life, on living.

Editor's Note

💡 This is not your typical "get rich quick" regression. It is a deeply philosophical and emotional slice-of-life drama. It handles the "grooming" aspect with self-awareness—the MC is constantly conflicted and stays away from the female lead until she is an adult. If you liked Life, Once Again, this is the closest experience you will find, though it leans more into the "bittersweet" nature of romance and past regrets.

Experience Curve

Ch. 1–100 (The Fresh Start): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – A masterclass in nostalgia. Setting up the business and the initial distance from the female lead is handled with surprising maturity.

Ch. 101–350 (University & Entanglements): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The "Harem" elements begin to surface. While the MC is devoted to one girl, his "nice guy" nature creates a trail of broken hearts. The social commentary on 2000s China is excellent.

Ch. 351–550 (The Business of Life): ⭐⭐⭐ – The focus shifts more toward the underworld, bureaucracy, and power struggles. Still engaging, but some readers might find the romantic drama circular.

Ch. 551–692 (The Final Act): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – A rare urban novel with a logical, satisfying, and happy ending. The plot twists regarding the MC's death and rebirth are unexpectedly well-integrated.

WebNovelDB Review

8 /10
Still, Wait For Me is a hidden gem in the modern regression genre. A heads-up: the novel tackles complex themes head-on, including agraphic depiction of sexual assault in the early chapters that serves as a key motivator for the MC's rebirth and protective nature. It's handled with gravity, not sensationalism, but it's a tough read." It chooses emotional depth and character flaws over the "invincible protagonist" power fantasy. The Good: The writing is incredibly evocative; you can feel the author's own nostalgia for 2003 China. The MC, Xu Tingsheng, is refreshingly human. He isn't a genius; he's just a man with a decade of extra maturity who still makes emotional mistakes. The supporting cast is arguably the strongest in the genre—they aren't just lackeys; they have their own lives, failures, and growth that happen independently of the MC. The Bad: The "Pseudo-Harem" can be frustrating. The MC attracts multiple tragic female leads because he is "too nice," leading to drama that often feels avoidable. There is also a very dark/disturbing scene early in the novel that might catch readers off-guard. Additionally, the age gap at the start of the novel (19 vs 14) is a hurdle for some, even if the MC keeps his distance until the time skip. For Fans Of: Life, Once Again, Extraordinary Genius, I'm Really a Superstar (minus the comedy). Not For You If: You want a pure business/finance novel with zero romance, or if you are highly sensitive to "age-gap" tropes in rebirth stories.
