Volcanic Age

Volcanic Age is a classic Murim epic that delivers exactly what it promises. The protagonist, Joo Seo-cheon, is incredibly likable because he isn't a typical "cold-blooded" regressor; he’s a grounded soul who values his bonds and uses his knowledge to act as a mastermind from the shadows.

The story shines in its exploration of martial arts and world-building. As the plot progresses, it expands beyond the usual central plains to include diverse cultures and unique environments. While it can suffer from a large cast of characters that are sometimes hard to track, and the power levels can feel vague at times, the humor and the satisfaction of seeing a "mediocre old man" outplay geniuses make it a highly enjoyable journey.
