Synopsis

Cecil Alldington regained the memories of her past life when she used magic for the first time at the age of 7. Although previously she had been in the prime of her youth, living as a Japanese high school girl, she ended up dying in a traffic accident. After reincarnating, she is now living in the deranged world of an Otome Game where all the Capture Targets are Yanderes! Moreover, since she is now the Heroine’s love rival, her death flags are everywhere and her most likely cause of death is the Capture Target that is currently her servant! Forced to interact with cute boys that are likely to kill her, how will she survive?
The following is the story of how this cheerful and compassionate girl nonchalantly avoids these death flags.

Editor's Note

⚠️ Yandere Overload. If you’re looking for "Yandere-lite," turn back now. This world is designed for the extreme—where every capture target is a ticking time bomb. The MC’s survival instinct? Being so dense it practically acts as a defensive shield.

The Reincarnation Crowd. Honestly, this novel takes the "Multiple Reincarnators" trope and runs a marathon with it. It’s not just the MC; the ML, the younger brother, and even the "Heroine" have ties to Japan. Not gonna lie, at one point it starts feeling more like a high school reunion than a fantasy world.

The "Heroine" Twist. This is arguably the most controversial part of the series. The original heroine is actually a reincarnated male who is... aggressive, to put it lightly. It’s played for laughs, but if you're sensitive to "pushy" side characters, you’ve been warned.

Short & Punchy. With only 30 chapters, this is a sprint. It doesn't have time for massive world-building, focusing instead on the chaotic, comedic, and slightly toxic relationship between the "Villainess" and her "Servant."

A 30-chapter chaos-fest where the flags are red, the MC is oblivious, and the servant is definitely not just here to fold laundry.

Experience Curve

Ch. 1–10 (The Childhood Foundation): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Hook. Cecil and Ashley growing up together is actually quite sweet, though you can see the yandere seeds being planted early. The way she introduces the "Bad Ends" provides a great grim context to the fluff.

Ch. 11–20 (The Academy Chaos): ⭐⭐⭐ – The Expansion. We meet the other capture targets. This is where the comedy peaks, but it’s also where the "Heroine" character starts getting polarizing for many readers.

Ch. 21–30 (The Revelation Phase): ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Peak. The "Multiple Reincarnators" twist hits full force. Seeing how they all interact once their past lives are out in the open is a fresh take on the subgenre.

Side Stories (The Aftermath): ⭐⭐⭐ – The Cleanup. Essential if you want to see the "Result" mentioned in the title actually play out.

WebNovelDB Review

7 /10
If you want to read [The Consequences of Having...], you have to be okay with a very specific flavor of "Bakarina" energy mixed with actual obsession. It’s a fun time-killer, but it doesn't take itself too seriously—and neither should you.

Yandere Consistency: 9/10. Ashley stays true to the archetype. He’s jealous, overstepping, and intensely focused on Cecil. If you like the "Servant who thinks he’s the Master" dynamic, this hits the spot.

Protagonist Intelligence: 4/10. Cecil is the definition of a "Dense MC." At age 7, it’s cute; at age 15, it becomes a plot device that some readers find frustrating.

Comedy/Tone: 8/10. It does a great job of turning "Death Flags" into punchlines. It’s a lighter take on a dark genre.

Pacing: 7/10. Because it’s so short, there’s zero filler. It’s a fast read, perfect for a single afternoon.

The Good: The unique twist with the capture targets and the heroine being reincarnators adds a layer of "meta-humor" that separates it from standard villainess stories. The relationship between Cecil and Ashley feels earned, even if it’s a bit toxic around the edges.

The Bad: The world-building is almost non-existent, and some of the side character behaviors (especially the Heroine's) haven't aged particularly well. The "Yandere" ending is also a bit of a love-it-or-hate-it moment.

The Archetype: The "Ostrich" Heroine. She buries her head in the sand of denseness to avoid seeing the literal blood-red flags around her.

The Final Verdict: This is a "guilty pleasure" read. It’s not a masterpiece of literature, but it’s an entertaining [The Consequences of Having...] review of what happens when a Japanese high school girl tries to navigate a world of deranged bishounen. If you like short stories with high energy and obsessive male leads, give the [The Consequences of Having...] chapters a go.
