He makes mistakes, he gets chased across entire continents, and he is often at the mercy of the incredibly powerful (and often violent) female leads. The Good: The female characters are some of the best in Chinese web fiction. They aren't trophies; they are independent, terrifyingly strong, and drive the plot more than the MC does. The world-building is intricate, and the author actually has a plan for the 1,100+ chapters. The Bad: The pacing is frantic. The "Chase" trope is used so often it becomes a meme. The MC's personality shift from "ancient emperor" to "immature youth" can be jarring and frustrating for readers looking for a cool-headed protagonist. For Fans Of: Emperor's Domination (same translator), A Will Eternal, and stories with complex, dangerous female characters. Not For You If: You hate "Rage-inducing" MC decisions, tragedy, or stories where the hero is constantly on the run.
