Return of the Shattered Constellation is a popular novel that blends Action, Adventure, Fantasy and more. Written by the author Sadoyeon. A total of 548 chapters have been translated and the novel is complete.

Synopsis

A mere human who ascended to the position of a god, ‘Twilight of the Gods’. After becoming infamous as an Evil God, he lost everything. His Constellation, his faith and his status. His divinity got cut off, and his divine power disappeared.
“I’d like you to work with me.”
That’s when the master of the Underworld, Thanatos, offered his hand… After grabbing Thanatos’s hand, ‘Twilight of the Gods’ decided to live again as the player ‘Lee Changseon’ to get back at the gods who threw him down to the underworld!
‘So, I’ve really come back.’

💡 Editor’s Note: If you’ve read Second Life Ranker, you’ll feel right at home—this novel is set in the same “multiverse” and functions as a spiritual (and literal) successor. It improves on the power scaling of its predecessor, offering a more logical progression. While it eventually hits some common “Tower/System” tropes, the inclusion of various mythologies (Greek, Norse, etc.) and the “God-as-a-Sponsor” commentary keep the narrative fresh and engaging.

WebNovelDB Review

8 /10
Return of the Shattered Constellation is a highly polished power fantasy that excels in its execution of the "Returner" trope. Unlike many protagonists who are suddenly overpowered for no reason, Lee Chang-Sun’s strength is rooted in his past life as a "Calamitous Fiend God." He doesn't just win because of a system; he wins because he has the tactical mind of someone who has already "smashed rocks with eggs" against the heavens. The interaction with the "Constellations" is the highlight here. The gods watching the MC act as a comedic yet critical peanut gallery, providing both items and entertainment. However, the novel isn't without its flaws. Much like the author's previous work, certain side characters and interesting power-ups (like the Blood Lightning) tend to be neglected as the story scales toward the cosmic "ChangSun-verse." The ending also feels somewhat rushed, leaving several plot threads open—likely setting the stage for a third installment in the franchise. For Fans Of: Second Life Ranker, Solo Leveling, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, and mythology-heavy world-building. Not For You If: You dislike "System" notifications, inconsistent stat-tracking, or if you prefer a protagonist who is a selfless paragon of virtue.
