How to Live As the Vampire Lord is a popular novel that blends Action, Adventure, Fantasy and more. Written by the author Kim Hyung-jun. A total of 345 chapters have been translated and the novel is complete.

Synopsis

Vampire Eugene — a sacrificial lamb slaughtered after half a year of running to fulfil the desires of a templar for fame.
He was given a second chance at life after concluding his life with regrets.
“I will never again die the same way. If I really did return to the past, no matter what it takes… I will never regret again.”

💡 Editor’s Note: If you enjoyed Duke Pendragon, you’ll recognize the author’s sharp dialogue and cool-headed protagonist style. It’s a refreshing take on the vampire genre that trades gothic romance for medieval politics and dungeon crawling. However, be warned: the MC is extremely efficient, meaning he faces very few setbacks on his path to power.

WebNovelDB Review

6 /10
How to Live As the Vampire Lord starts as a high-octane thriller with a unique premise. The idea of a vampire "returning to the past" to become a roaming knight is fascinating, and the early world-building—mixing traditional European fantasy with a unique progression system based on consuming Magic Stones—is well-executed. However, the novel struggles with its middle-to-late pacing. Many readers find the protagonist, Eugene, to be "too perfect." He rarely faces genuine struggle; enemies are often defeated in a few sentences, and the mystery of his past is solved quite early. The side characters can feel flat, serving mostly to praise the MC’s "cunning," even when his plans are straightforward. Most critically, the ending is notoriously abrupt, serving more as a setup for the author's other works than a satisfying conclusion to Eugene's story. For Fans Of: Overpowered (OP) protagonists, cool and collected MCs, medieval politics, and fast-paced "zero-to-hero" stories. Not For You If: You want high-stakes tension, deep character growth, or meaningful romance (0%). Crucially, the ending acts as an abrupt cliffhanger intended to set up the author's other works rather than providing a true conclusion.
